Developing a human resources policy

Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Children’s Rights, within the project (Enhancing the Access of Fragile and Vulnerable Groups of Women and Children to Legal, Counseling, and Psychological and Social Support Services) and with the support of Mercy Corps, continues to implement training for events affiliated with Mercy Corps, and on 1/22/2024, a capacity building event on the one hand. Developing a human resources policy, as Al-Taqwa staff received training on everything related to the basic concepts of human resources in terms of human resources management, the rights and duties of the job, the recruitment process, and the steps that must be taken in order for the recruitment to be successful and fruitful and result in satisfaction and belonging to the organization. It must begin with a job analysis. It is complete in several aspects, such as studying, analyzing and recording data related to the job and its various dimensions and the relationship of this job to other jobs, as well as analyzing the knowledge, attitudes, skills, qualifications and experience that must be available. The job description and its importance to determine the powers and tasks were also discussed, as well as to clarify the job description of the employee and his relationship with other jobs and the relationship of other jobs to his specialty as well. The administrative processes were clarified in terms of planning, organisation, direction and control. The staff was also provided with policies such as the code of conduct, conflict of interest policy, financial policy and other important policies that the employee must adhere to, as well as the procedures that follow him in the event of non-compliance with them.
The training included a distinguished visit by the Mercy Corps project manager, Mr. Iyad, the Mercy Corps country director, Mr. Ahmed, and the Mercy Corps coordinator in Basra, Ms. Iman.
