The second meeting of the Al-Taqwa Association with community structures

Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Children’s Rights, with support from Save the Children International, as part of the project to support children in conflict with the law through a preventive and functional system in Iraq, implemented the second meeting of community structures in the districts and center of Basra. It started in the Al-Haritha District and then in the Shatt Al-Arab District in the Shatt Al-Arab Youth and Sports Forum, followed by the Al-Asma’i Youth and Sports Forum, as well as the Abu Al-Khasib Youth and Sports Forum. The meeting focused on the importance of the community structure in all regions and their important role in enhancing protection for children, spreading awareness and educating society about the rights of children and protecting them from the abuse and exploitation to which they are exposed, and their role in monitoring these cases and referring them to the competent authorities, as well as the extent of connection and communication with Youth clubs that were established by the Al-Taqwa Association To strengthen and support them and discuss the most important results, achievements and challenges that occurred during the period of implementing the activities.
As well as following up on juveniles who obtained small projects in order to continue working. Asmara continued to monitor other cases, and the association appreciated their efforts and communication with them.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the members of the structures expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Children’s Rights for its efforts, following up on children and adolescents, and providing services to them.
