Employ Social Workers
Carpooling App, Ride Sharing App with Driver App & Rider App
Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Children’s Rights, with the support of Save the Children and in cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights and the Department of Women’s Empowerment, Family and Children’s Affairs, held advocacy meetings with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, and the departments of education and health to employ social workers (researcher) in Police stations and clarifying the need to establish child-friendly monitoring and complaints mechanisms in detention centers while discussing the conditions of juveniles in detention centers and prisons and coming up with results that serve these groups within the project “Accelerating community-led efforts towards a sustainable future.”
The attendees came up with a set of numerous proposals and solutions and sent official letters to the concerned departments, including the Basra Education Directorate and the Health Department. Efforts are still continuing with the leaders concerned with solutions to find a way out for juvenile inmates at the juvenile police station.
