The Restorative Justice Committee, emanating from the project to support children in conflict with the law, met through a functional and preventive program in Iraq with the support of Save the Children and the implementation of the Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Children’s Rights in cooperation with the Independent High Commission for Human Rights and the Women, Family and Child Empowerment Department in the governorate. The first concerns putting the final touches on developing the national strategy for child-friendly justice and disseminating it in the regions, and the second is a workshop at the national level for federal Iraq and the Kurdistan region of Iraq to change the minimum age for legal accountability for children and establish a juvenile monitoring office and exchange experiences.
